Seattle City Light has completed a software upgrade on its popular streetlight tracker and customers can once again report streetlight outages and track the progress of repairs online.

Keeping streetlights on is a core component of City Light’s mission. Inevitably some will and do fail. Our customers help us maintain high quality service by letting us know when they spot a light that is no longer working.

New streetlight outage reports are shown on the map with green dots for the Green Team repair crews. Our goal is to respond to new streetlight outage reports within 10 business days.

If a repair requires additional materials or resources, it will be escalated to Yellow Team repair crews. With these cases, our goal is to fix the problem within 45 calendar days from the time it reaches the Yellow Team.

If an outage requires the replacement of major components, it will be marked by a red dot and sent to Red Team crews to start a capital improvement project. Our goal is to complete these larger projects within 120 days.

More information about reporting streetlight outages is available online here.
