Burien Customers Affected By Two Outages

Scattered outages affected 7,500 customers in Seattle City Light's service territory, with two outages in Burien accounting for most of the customers without power.

Scattered outages occurred in Seattle City Light’s service territory as gusty winds blew Tuesday night and into Wednesday.

Two of the larger outages left more than 7,000 customers without power in the Burien area. Both outages occurred around 11:30 p.m. The exact cause of both is unknown as is the estimated time of restoration. Crews are responding to identify the exact locations, assess causes, and make repairs.

Seattle City Light is the tenth largest public electric utility in the United States. It has some of the lowest cost customer rates of any urban utility, providing reliable, renewable and environmentally responsible power to nearly 1 million Seattle area residents.
