Just before 10 p.m. this evening, a power outage affected Shoreline and approximately 3,874 customers in that area. An immediate cause for the disruption is unknown. Crews are assessing the situation.

The boundaries of the outage are: on the north: NE 198th; on the east, Lake Washington; on the south; NE 148th; and on the west, 25th Ave. NE.

Meanwhile, another Shoreline/north Seattle outage remains at about 768 customers out of power, down from the original 2,700 customers affected, an outage that began just before 4 pm. Restoration of those remaining customers is expected at about 11 p.m. this evening.

The cause of that outage is wires down from equipment failures on poles.

Information about outages is available online from Seattle City Light’s system status map at www.seattle.gov/light/sysstat.
