Gentle gnomes and dancing bears with a message of caring for your home and your planet through weatherization and energy conservation will delight audiences at the Green Lake Pathway of Lights on Saturday during the final performances of “There’s No Place Like Home.”
The performance, a Lucia Neare production, will take place south of the Bath House Theater near the pier by Duck Island. http://www.everytrail.com/guide/green-lake-park/map
Watch for bears and gnomes in the park from 5 to 8 p.m. interacting with visitors. The performance will begin around 6 p.m. and will last about 30 to 40 minutes.
Weatherization Stations where gnomes will work with children to weatherize gingerbread houses with cotton candy insulation, frosting caulk and other tasty upgrades will be active from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Adults can get information about weatherization and energy conservation assistance from Community Power Works and Seattle City Light and learn about public art from staff.
There’s No Place Like Home is supported by funding from Seattle City Light’s 1% for the Arts program. Learn more about the project at www.bluehouseseattle.org .
