Seattle City Light is sending 14 employees and support equipment to New York to assist in Long Island’s recovery from Hurricane Sandy. They will leave from Joint Base Lewis-McChord about 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3.

Crews have restored power to most customers in Shoreline and north Seattle left in the dark early this morning.

Two power outages have left more than 4,000 customers in the dark this morning. An equipment failure in Shoreline has affected approximately 1,740 customers in Lake Forest Park, Olympic Hills and Shoreline. Restoration is expected around 5 a.m.
