Power Outage Affecting 12,900 Customers in Parts of Ballard, Magnolia, and Queen Anne

 Seattle City Light  crews are working to restore power to about 12,900 customers in parts of Ballard, Magnolia, and Queen Anne.

Electronic Equipment Upgrades Planned in May 2017

Starting in May 2017, Seattle City Light will be supporting enhanced cellular and data services along Beacon Avenue South and Ballard Avenue Northwest by upgrading electronic equipment to utility poles throughout the public right-of-way of these neighborhoods.

Advanced Metering Utility Pole Upgrades Continue in March 2017

In March 2017, Seattle City Light will continue supporting Advanced Metering services throughout the utility’s service territory by replacing existing utility poles with taller poles, which will host wireless utility data collection equipment. The new poles will be 70 feet tall, which is about 20 feet taller than the existing poles.

Streetlight Inspection Will Cause Rolling Slowdown on Ballard Bridge

Seattle City Light plans to inspect streetlights on the Ballard Bridge following the Seattle Department of Transportation’s seismic upgrades. The inspection is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 17 starting at 7 p.m. and ending at 6 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 18. Single northbound and southbound lane closures on the bridge will be necessary. Motorists should expect rolling slowdowns in the direction of the affected lane. Only one lane at a time will be closed.
