This Saturday, April 27, crews will continue work in West Seattle, clearing old wire and dilapidated cross arms off poles along four blocks of Fauntleroy Way SW from SW Brandon to SW Graham.
This work is part of a larger project to replace 4 kilovolt wires. Currently, a portion of West Seattle runs on a 4 kilovolt electrical distribution system. This system is aging and becoming outdated. Seattle City Light is upgrading the neighborhood’s electrical infrastructure to a 26 kilovolt system, which will be more reliable and provide more capacity to meet increasing demand for electricity.
