Northgate Area Power Mostly Restored

Seattle City Light crews are working to restore power in the Northgate area.

Seattle City Light crews are working to restore power in the Northgate area. The outage was first reported at 8:30 p.m. There are an estimated 500 customers still without electricity. Initially 2,500 customers lost power. The cause was a utility pole fire. Crews continue to work to restore power.

The boundaries of the original outage are: north NE 120th St; on the south, NE 100th St; on the east, 11th Ave NE and on the west, Fremont Ave N.

Seattle City Light is the ninth largest public electric utility in the United States. It has the lowest cost customer rates of any urban utility, providing reliable, renewable and environmentally responsible power to nearly 1 million Seattle area residents. City Light has been greenhouse gas neutral since 2005, the first electric utility in the nation to achieve that distinction.
