Power mostly restored south of downtown

A poweroutage that affected 2,470 customers in the International District has been 80 percent restored.

A power outage about 5:45 p.m. that affected 2,470 customers in the International District has been 80 percent restored.  An underground cable failed, however, City Light crews were able to route around the trouble spot to get most customers restored.  It’s estimated there are about 500 customers still without power.  Its estimated all customers will be restored by 4 a.m.

The original boundries of the outage were: on the north,  E. Cherry St.; on the south, S. Spokane St.; on the east, 15th Ave S. and on the west, 4th Ave S.
