City Light Lineworkers Urge Public to be Prepared for Storms

As part of Seattle City Light’s support for the Take Winter By Storm awareness campaign, three lineworkers — Wes Peterson, Manny Cervantez and Reddy Landon — helped create a video urging residents to prepare for storm season and the power outages that go with it.

Storms can knock out power for extended periods. Residents should plan for such outages, assemble an emergency preparedness kit and get involved with your community and emergency response training.

Always stay away from downed power lines. Never use a barbecue grill or portable generator indoors because they will generate deadly carbon monoxide.
