Lightning and rain caused scattered power outages in Madrona and neighborhoods in northeast and northwest Seattle. City Light crews worked to restore power as quickly as possible.
Power has been restored to about 87 percent of customers in the Madrona neighborhood . Approximately 265 customers are still without power. The boundaries of this outage are E. Jefferson St. on the north, S. Washington St. on the south, 30th Ave. on the west and Lake Washington on the east.. This outage affecting about 2,065 customers, was first reported at 11:48 p.m., Nov. 5. This outage was caused by lightning.
Power was fully restored at about 2:15 a.m., Nov. 6, to customers in northwest Seattle. This outage affecting about 2,600 customers was first reported at 11:46 p.m., Nov. 5, 2009. The original boundaries of this outage were N 123rd St. on the north, N 70th St. on the south, Corliss Ave. N. on the east and 8th Ave. NW on the west. This outage was caused by lightening.
Power was fully restored at about 1:15 a.m., Nov. 6, to customers in northeast Seattle. This outage affecting about 3,192 customers was first reported at 11:42 p.m., Nov. 5. The original boundaries of this outage were NE 123rd St. on the north, NE 74th St. on the south, Lake Washington on the east and 5th Ave. NE on the west. This outage was caused by a pole fire.
