With more storms in the forecast, stay safe by avoiding downed power lines or branches hanging in wires. The National Weather Service forecast calls for continuing rain and wind for the next several days. With any storm there is the potential for downed power lines or branches falling into lines. Both situations are dangerous. Treat any downed power line as if it is energized. A branch hanging on a wire will conduct electricity too.
