Service Restored for Lake Forest Park Customers

Seattle City Light crews have restored service to about 2,900 homes and businesses in Lake Forest Park that were affected by an outage caused by high winds that pushed a tree into power lines.

Seattle City Light crews have restored service to about 2,900 homes and businesses in Lake Forest Park that were affected by an outage caused by high winds that pushed a tree into power lines.

The outage was reported about 9:30 a.m. as winds started to pick up with a Spring windstorm. Crews restored service about 10:45 a.m. Forecasters were predicting sustained winds of up to 35 mph and gusts up to 55 mph.

Seattle City Light had 14 crews ready to respond to outages related to overhead power lines throughout the day.

The general boundaries of the outage in Lake Forest Park were NE 198th Street on the north, NE 148th Street on the south, Lake Washington on the east, and 25th Avenue NE on the west. Not all customers within those boundaries were affected.
