Power restored in NE Seattle

SEATTLE — Power has been restored to customers in the Lake City Way area and NE Seattle neighborhoods.  City Light crews were able to switch around malfunctioning equipment.  Starting about 9:05 p.m., 3192 customers lost power.  Power was restored  about an hour later.   The boundaries of the outage were, on the north, NE 123rd  St.; on the south, NE 74th St.; on the east, Lake Washington and on the west, 5th Ave NE .  Not all customers within these boundaries are affected.

Seattle City Light is the ninth largest public electric utility in the United States.  It has the lowest cost customer rates of any urban utility, providing reliable, renewable and environmentally responsible power to nearly 1 million Seattle area residents.  City Light has been greenhouse gas neutral since 2005, the first electric utility in the nation to achieve that distinction.
