Power out to over 10 thousand customers

SEATTLE —  Seattle City Light is experiencing several outages scattered throughout the service area affecting over 10,000 customers.  The largest areas involved include Magnolia, Queen Anne and parts of Fremont.

Another 1,400 customers in the area including parts of Tukwila, Rainier View and Rainier Beach neighborhoods are also without power.  Crews are in route to look for a cause.

Seattle City Light is the tenth largest public electric utility in the United States.  It has some of the lowest cost customer rates of any urban utility, providing reliable, renewable and environmentally responsible power to nearly 1 million Seattle area residents.  City Light has been greenhouse gas neutral since 2005, the first electric utility in the nation to achieve that distinction.
