SEATTLE — Last night’s wind storm did damage to equipment in several areas within Seattle City Light ‘s service territory. At 5 a.m. this morning over 12 thousand customers lost power. As of 1 p.m., there are an estimated 1,900 customers still without power. Trees came down in several locations including Queen Anne neighborhood and also down in south Beacon Hill. These two outages are affecting 1700 customers and are not expected to be fully restored until between 8:30 ad 9 p.m.
City Light crews are also making repairs to a transmission line that brings power into Seattle from the Cedar Falls powerhouse in eastern King County. Although this is a critical repair, it is not affecting any customers.
