Seattle City light crews responded to reports of an outage in the Phinney Ridge and Greenwood neighborhoods about 7:30 a.m. today.
About 2,600 homes and businesses were affected by the outage. Crews were working to determine the cause and make repairs. An estimate for restoration of service was not immediately available.
The general boundaries of the outage were Third Avenue on the west, Aurora Avenue on the east, 60th Street on the south and 105th Street on the north. Seattle City Light is the 10th largest electric utility in the United States.
