Power was restored at 9:57 p.m. today to nearly all 3,400 customers affected by a power outage on Beacon Hill after an earlier car-pole accident. Seattle City Light crews restored power within 45 minutes of the start of the outage. Four customers in the immediate vicinity of the accident remain without power after the pole was sheered off. Seattle City Light crews should complete the full restoration by 6 a.m. Thursday.
The Veteran’s Administration Medical Center was affected but ran on back-up generation until it was brought back on line with the power grid shortly after the accident.
