New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo thanked Seattle City Light for its efforts to help the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) restore power to hundreds of thousands of people on Long Island following Hurricane Sandy in November.
In a letter to Superintendent Jorge Carrasco, Cuomo said City Light’s steadfast efforts were “invaluable to our work to help our residents and communities begin to recover and rebuild.”
City Light sent three trucks and 14 employees to Long Island for about two weeks to help with the Hurricane Sandy recovery.
