How long have you been at City Light? I started with the City in April 2018 and became a full-time employee in October 2018.
Tell us about your role. My job entails janitorial work in the powerhouse and compound areas, mowing lawns, and weed control. I also work as an out-of-class Crew Chief, Electrical Helper, Truck Driver, Carpenter, Machinist Specialist, and Rights of Way Maintenance Worker.

Tell us about your family/pets: My family currently lives in Montana. I see them as much as I can during the holidays. I love going to Montana – it’s God’s country! I currently own a German Shepherd named Kodiak.

What is your favorite movie genre and/or all-time favorite movie? Favorite movie is “8 Seconds!”
What is something exciting you have done recently? I have been traveling a lot and going to different places around the world, which has been exciting!
What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy day? Hunting and fishing!
What has helped you get to where you are and what advice do you have for others who want to set off in a similar career direction? Taking out-of-class opportunities at the Skagit River Hydroelectric Project has helped me understand different rules and decide what I want to pursue at Seattle City Light. Trying various jobs gives you a better feel for how things work.
What is your hidden talent or hobby? My favorite hobby is elk hunting. There’s just something about being out in the wild.
