Each week, we share a Photo of the Week on our social media channels that is taken by a different City Light employee. We’re so grateful for the contributions and new perspectives our employees share. These gorgeous photos are usually of beautiful Washington landscapes, our hydroelectric projects, and more.

There’s nothing like the sight of cherry blossoms in the Pacific Northwest. This picture shows just how impressive the blossoms can be – whether they’re on the branches or on the ground. Our Vegetation Management team prides themselves on caring for the trees in our service area and was recognized by Arbor Day Foundation has named Seattle City Light a 2024 Tree Line USA utility!

The view of Elliot Bay at sunset from Pike Place is a spectacular sight. Plus, there is a lot going on in the area for electrification! Seattle’s waterfront is undergoing a major transformation to become one of the greenest and most energy-efficient ports in North America.

Finally, it’s no surprise Diablo Lake is represented twice. The Skagit Hydroelectric Project is positioned along scenic Route 20, surrounded by the mountains of the North Cascades. It’s a popular place for recreational opportunities, which we’ve committed to preserving and enhancing. We encourage you to take a Skagit Tour in 2025!
