How long have you been at City Light? Since August 2024
Tell us about your role. I do any and all things for the office of our General Manager & CEO Dawn Lindell! This includes the basics like scheduling, travel arrangements, editing, preparing, and wrangling documents, as well as high-level collaboration with the Executive and Leadership Teams to problem-solve and tackle enormous challenges with future focused solutions. I also coordinate with all Seattle City Light Business Units, the Mayor’s Office, City Council, other City departments, and so much more. City Light is a dynamic organization with each day providing a new experience or puzzle to solve, which requires a lot of flexibility and quick pivoting. Whatever Dawn is working on or has flowing through her office is likely something I’m a part of to some degree.

Tell us about your family/pets: My husband and I both have parents living back in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, so it’s just the two of us out here in the Pacific Northwest with our standard poodle, Buggy.
Just for fun
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend? Running outside, taking Buggy to the dog park, playing my new drums, Costco shopping, planning for the future, or just catching up on downtime.
What do you admire most about your younger self? My curious nature and expansive interests have been a central guiding force in my life. I have lived in seven states, met a wide variety of people, and spent intentional time exploring my place in the world that surrounds me. It often feels like a string of detours, but I’m very pleased with the current destination.
What’s your favorite family tradition or memory? Pizza Fridays
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? An octopus – they’re old and wise, live in a beautiful ocean home, have camouflaging superpowers, and are inquisitive and playful.
What’s one thing you’ve learned about yourself in the past year? That I have no idea what the future holds, but I’ll be ready.
