How long have you been at City Light? Almost 12 years – since July 7, 2014.

Tell us about your role. As part of a two-person publishing team, I write, edit, collaborate on, and publish a variety of technical publications that are essential for both our employees and customers. These include material, construction, and design standards that guide how we build and maintain our power system; work practices that provide instructions for our field crews to complete tasks safely; and other key publications like guides for customers setting up new service connections.

Tell us about your family/pets: Husband Scott, former radio personality who now works as a substitute teacher for Seattle Public Schools, and a 29-year-old grown child, Lindsay, who is living the good life in New York City.

What is your hidden talent or hobby? I am a regularly performing rock musician (electric guitar and vocals) and songwriter – find Green Pajamas, Capping Day, etc. on Spotify!

What’s your favorite book and why? “Moby-Dick.” A massive adventure, stunning prose, amazing characters, rich symbolism and themes; always worth a re-read.

What was your first job and what did you do? Working concessions at the Kingdome before it got blown up. I can wrap a hot dog faster than you.

What’s something that has made you smile recently? Watching Alysa Liu skate in the Olympics (on TV, not in person). Wow!!

What is your favorite local activity? Plunging in the icy cold waters of Puget Sound off Alki Beach.
