Local Students Shrink Bigfoot, Offer Energy Saving Advice

Have you ever wondered what kids have to say about saving energy? Seattle City Light asked local students in grades 3-6 to illustrate how they can save energy and shrink their carbon footprint for the 2nd Annual Shrinking Bigfoot Calendar Contest. More than 350 students throughout the utility’s service territory participated in this year’s contest, and 12 were chosen from a panel of judges. The winning artwork was developed into a 2014 calendar that will be sold to the public. Winners also received a great prize package that included tickets to the Woodland Park Zoo and Pacific Science Center, safety and school supplies from Seattle City Light, and much more! Students Showcase How They Would Shrink Bigfoot

Twelve winning students will have their artwork and energy conservation ideas featured in City Light’s 2014 Shrinking Bigfoot calendar, which will go on sale in November.
