Power Restored to Most West Seattle Customers

Seattle City Light crews restored power by 7 p.m. to 4,725 West Seattle customers affected by a lightning-caused outage earlier in the evening. Seventy-five customers are still without power. At least seven damaged transformers require replacement in order to restore the remaining customers.

Seattle City Light crews restored power by 7 p.m. to 4,725 West Seattle customers affected by a lightning-caused outage earlier in the evening. Seventy-five customers are still without power. At least seven damaged transformers require replacement in order to restore the remaining customers. The estimated time of restoration for all customers is after midnight.

 The outage which started at 5:28 p.m. affected 4,800 customers at its peak.
