Power Outage Affecting About 3,000 Customers

Seattle City Light repair crews are responding to power outages affecting about 3,000 Seattle area customers, with the largest outage affecting about 2,800 customers in the Alki/Harbor Island area.

The Alki/Harbor Island outage was reported about 2:20 a.m. The cause was not immediately known. Crews will provide an estimate for full restoration of service after they identify the problem.

The general boundaries of the outage are Alki Ave. SW on the north, SW Genesee St. on the south, 37th Ave. SW on the west and 26th Ave. SW on the east.  Not all customers in this area are affected.

Three smaller outages are affecting service in Burien, Pinehurst and Shoreline.
