City Light Engineer Helps Raise $1,500 for Tsunami Relief

"The People Now," a local band that includes Seattle City Light temporary Engineer Arman Birang, raised a total of $1,500 at May fundraising event for the victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

“The People Now,” a local band that includes Seattle City Light temporary Engineer Arman Birang, raised a total of $1,500 at May fundraising event for the victims  of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami.

The People Now played on the 42nd Street stage of the University District StreetFair. They collected donations from the public and donated proceeds from all merchandise sales and auctions.  All money collected was given to the American Red Cross for tsunami relief efforts still underway in Japan.
