Seattle City Light crews restored power in SODO about 2 a.m. Friday after a contractor completed repairs to privately owned electrical equipment that had been damaged by a vehicle.
The damage was caused Tuesday when the vehicle hopped a curb, then smashed through a steel and concrete bollard before striking the equipment, called a commercial service junction. On Thursday, inspectors determined that the damaged equipment posed a fire risk, forcing City Light to cut power to the surrounding area so immediate repairs could be made.
About 60 customers were affected along Occidental Avenue between King and Royal Brougham streets.
