Underdeck lighting on South Cloverdale Street Seattle City Light recently completed the final lighting upgrades at the State Route 99 overpass on South Cloverdale Street. Contracted crews replaced the high-pressure sodium (HPS) lights with new light-emitting diode (LED) fixtures from August to December 2020.
City Light staff worked with the South Park community to address safety concerns about the underdeck lighting. The newly installed lights will improve safety for vehicles and pedestrians traveling through the area.
