Seattle City (spot)Light: Kristina Pham, Enterprise Change & Business Process Manager

The Basics
How long have you been at City Light? I joined City Light in September 2021. Before that, I was with Seattle Information Technology for six years.

Division: Chief of Staff team in the General Manager’s Office

Tell us about your role: I lead a utility-wide program where we will create, deliver and scale strategies and plans to support people in moving from current to future state by honing methods of effective and sustained behavior change. In addition to organizational change management, I am launching a small-scale, enterprise business process management function that involves the creation and maintenance of process architectures, methodologies, and other conventions to teach and reinforce a process management discipline at the utility.

Background
Hometown: Fairfax, Va.

Alma Mater: George Mason University

Area of study: Business Management & minor in Information Technology

Tell us about your family: I live in Auburn with my husband, Andy. We have two kids together: our son Lawson, who’s turning 4 in April, and our daughter Kaylani, who just turned 1 in December 2021. Her nickname at home is Quarantina since she was a COVID-time baby. 😊

Just for Fun
What was your first job and what did you do? When I was 16, I worked as a barista at Starbucks for one week. This was part of a youth program, and I had no idea how to make them drinks – no instructions or measurements were provided!

What do you like most about your role? I love and appreciate the opportunity to deliver positive impacts when leading organizational transformations on the people side of change and looking for ways to streamline, optimize and sustain business processes.

What TV show are you currently bingeing? I haven’t got much of “me” time to do this! But when I do have time, it would be “Criminal Minds”!

What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend? I would be spending most of my weekend with the kids. I don’t get to do a lot of it during the weekdays!

Who do you admire the most? President Barack Obama. He was so people oriented and inspired many with his genuine openness and kindness.
