The Basics
Division: Operations – Skagit Hydroelectric Project
How long have you been at City Light? I was originally hired in March 2016, and I started at the Skagit Project in July 2023. So, I’ve worked at City Light for nine years now.
Tell us about your role. What does your job entail? I see my job as mainly internal customer service. We each have our own set tasks but ultimately, I am here to help Skagit employees with their administrative needs. This includes answering questions, getting them in touch with others who can assist them, and submitting requests to management. Whatever it might be, I’m here to help.
Background
Hometown: Well, that depends on what you consider your hometown. Where you were born, where you lived as a child, or where you grew into adulthood and have spent most of your life. For me, each of those places are different: Kansas, Southern Calif., and Seattle, Wash. consecutively.
Tell us about your family/pets: My household consists of my husband, Jason, and German Shepherd, Lancer.
Just for fun
If you could live in any time period, past, present, or future, when would it be? Can I go back to the 90s please? I would absolutely relive my twenties in downtown Seattle. I had so much fun.
What is your favorite local restaurant? I’m still relatively new to Skagit County, but I really like The Train Reck in Burlington (great food) and Chuckanut Manor (fancy food).
Are you a morning person or a night owl? I’m definitely a morning person. I love a new day. So much so that when I was a child, I got really mad at my mom for allowing me to sleep until 10 a.m. one day because I missed the morning.
What do you wish you had more time to do? It’s a toss-up between being creative or riding my bike.
What’s something that has made you smile recently? My dog makes me smile every day.
