Seattle City Light crews restored power to about 5,600 homes and businesses in southeast Seattle about 30 minutes after mylar balloons became entangled on power lines and caused a power outage today.

Power Restored to Most West Seattle Customers

Seattle City Light crews restored power by 7 p.m. to 4,725 West Seattle customers affected by a lightning-caused outage earlier in the evening. Seventy-five customers are still without power. At least seven damaged transformers require replacement in order to restore the remaining customers.
