In celebration of Earth Day, Northwest SEED and the Solarize Seattle: Northwest team has organized a multi-neighborhood, multi-modal solar tour in Northwest Seattle. Join us this Sunday, April 21 to tour solar homes in Northwest Seattle!
Seattle City Light is partnering with Northwest SEED in the Solarize Seattle campaign to make it easier and more affordable to install solar at your home or business.
The Earth Day Solar Tour will feature Wallingford, Phinney Ridge, and Ballard homeowners who have recently Solarized through the program. Many are eager to share their experience, and will be available to show tour participants their solar systems and answer questions.
- Wallingford: self led 1-mile walking tour @ 2-4PM (route map)
- Phinney Ridge: self led 1-mile walking tour @ 2-4PM (route map)
- Ballard: organized bike tour with Sustainable Ballard (meet at Ballard Commons Park, corner of 55th & 22nd NW)
6-mile loop @ noon
3-mile loop @ 2PM — family friendly!
This will be a great opportunity to connect with homeowners that have already started powering their lives with clean, renewable energy. Hear their stories, ask them questions, and see real solar installations up close!
Feel free to complete the entire tour, or simply visit a few homes nearby. Please only knock on doors at the times specified above.
