3:30 p.m. Update: Crews Expect to Restore 75 Percent of Customers by 8 p.m.

Seattle City Light crews continue to work to restore power to customers affected by today’s winds.

At the height of the storm, about 46,000 customers were without power as trees and branches came down into power lines. By 3:30 p.m., the number of customers without power was down to just under 40,000.

Crews expected to restore service to 75 percent of those homes and businesses by 8 p.m.

Additional crews were called in to work on the outages and they will continue working into the night to restore power.
