Power has been fully restored to customers in NE Seattle. The outage affected 9,800 customers from Wedgwood to Lake City. High winds and toppled trees were the cause of the outage.
Seattle City Light crews were working to restore service to about 9,800 homes and businesses Tuesday evening after high winds blew trees into power lines in Northeast Seattle.
This Aug. 7, City Light inspected the rock face above the Boundary project’s transformer bays, to ensure that rocks and vegetation pose no major risks to the 240 kilovolt lines that extend from the transformers to the Boundary switchyard.
Seattle City Light’s historic Georgetown Steam Plant will be the backdrop for an upcoming play about the paranormal presented by the Seattle Immersive Theater, starting Oct. 3.
