These honors come from the Cogent Syndicated 2025 Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement™: Residential and Business studies conducted by Escalent.
What is the Business Customer Champion award?
A leading data analytics and advisory firm, Escalent studies 85 of the largest gas, electric, and combination utilities in the country to focus on how utilities connect with and engage business customers of all sizes. City Light was one of 12 utilities named Business Customer Champion in 2025. Receiving this recognition highlights our efforts to build and maintain relationships with the businesses in our service area and to provide reliable support for their needs.

What is the Residential Customer Champion award?
The 2025 Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement™ (UTBCE): Residential study tracks the performance of 149 gas, electric and combination utilities to identify brand and customer experience opportunities and trends in the industry. City Light was one of 36 utilities named Residential Customer Champion for our ability to build and sustain highly engaged residential customer relationships.
How we’re supporting residential customers
We’re committed to giving our residential customers access to the tools and programs they need to help reduce their energy costs. We’ve developed resources to help customers better understand and manage their energy use, including online tools and personalized insights. We also offer a variety of rebates and programs, such as incentives for energy-efficient appliances and home upgrades, to make saving energy more accessible. By focusing on affordability and sustainability, we’re helping our customers achieve their energy goals while supporting a greener future for our community.
