City Light Receives Diamond Designation as a Reliable Public Power Provider

City Light has earned a diamond level Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) designation from the American Public Power Association. This award certifies that we have demonstrated leading practices in providing the highest degree of reliable and safe electric service.

The RP3 designation lasts for three years and recognizes public power utilities that demonstrate proficiency in four key disciplines: reliability, safety, workforce development, and system improvement. Of the thousands of public power utilities in the country, we join more than 250 that hold the RP3 designation.

“Earning the Diamond RP3 designation is a proud moment for our organization, made possible by the hard work of our incredible employees. This award reflects their daily dedication to delivering affordable, reliable, safe, and environmentally responsible energy services. Together, we remain committed to engaging with our customers, listening to community needs, and continuously improving how we power the lives of the people who depend on us.”
