Seattle City Light crews have restored power to about half of the 3,500 customers affected by an outage in the First Hill and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. Full restoration of service is estimated at 3:30 p.m.
The underground exploratory work Seattle City Light started in late October at Western Avenue and University Street to evaluate a leak in an oil-encased power line has now become an emergency repair.

Seattle City Light fully restored power at about 4:50 a.m., to customers in the First Hill and Capitol Hill neighborhoods.
Seattle City Light is responding to an outage in the First Hill and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. The outage was first reported at about midnight. There are an estimated 2,900 customers without electricity. The cause of the outage is currently not known.
