Seattle City Light announced today that its home energy reports program has saved customers $4.6 million on their energy bills since the program started in 2009. Seattle City Light customers have also saved over 50 million kilowatt-hours through this program, enough energy to take nearly 5,000 homes in Seattle off the grid for a year.

More than 350 students throughout the utility’s service territory participated in this year’s contest, and 12 were chosen from a panel of judges. The winning artwork was developed into a 2014 calendar that will be sold to the public. Winners also received a great prize package that included tickets to the Woodland Park Zoo and Pacific Science Center, safety and school supplies from Seattle City Light, and much more!
