Seattle City Light Superintendent Jorge Carrasco will be talking to residents who may have been affected by as many as four power outages during the month of September. He’ll address what happened during those outages and what the utility is doing to fix the problem.
The meeting will be in the Rainier Room of the Seattle Center, 305 Harrison on the northwest corner. For more information, contact City Light’s Mike Eagan (206) 615-1691.
City Light takes a Heart Walk

SCL Heart Walkers
City Light employees, along with their friends and families, turned out for the Oct. 3, 2009 Puget Sound Heart Walk at Qwest Field in support of the American Heart Association. At last count, 58 walkers from the utility had signed up for the fundraiser, with both walkers and their supporters contributing $5,600. This was part of a City of Seattle effort to rally employees from all City departments and raise thousands for the cause of heart health.
The American Heart Association provides more than $6.7 million in research grants to five local institutions each year, and City Light considers Heart Walk an excellent opportunity to volunteer and raise awareness for an organization that saves lives.
