Current, a living map of Seattle’s hydroelectric generation and energy use created by artist Adam Frank, is now open for viewing at Seattle Center’s Center House as a part of the Next Fifty celebration.
Artist Adam Frank has created a living map of Seattle’s electrial distribution and energy use called CURRENT, which will be unveiled during the opening weekend celebration of The Next Fifty at the Seattle Center.
Adam Frank will work as artist-in-residence at Seattle City Light, where he will study the utility’s energy conservation programs and develop a series of innovative projects to bring awareness to energy conservation.
About 50 Seattle City Light employees will be helping the American Heart Association in its mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke, by participating in the annual Puget Sound Heart Walk on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Seattle City Light identified nine streetlights that were giving off voltage in the utility’s latest round of streetlight safety testing. No one was injured by any of the streetlights. In each case, City Light crews immediately cut power and started repairs.
