A power outage in West Seattle this evening leaves almost 2,800 customers without electricty.
An estimated 1.2 million pink salmon and 25,000 Chinook are crowding into the upper Skagit River below Seattle City Light’s three hydroelectric dams to spawn. It is the best spawning run on the Skagit in at least 35 years.
Seattle City Light holds a public meeting this evening, Oct.13, 2009, 6:30–8 p.m. on lower Queen Anne to discuss recent power outages on the hill and in Magnolia.
