Starting in early to mid-March 2017, Seattle City Light will be working in the Belltown neighborhood to install a new underground service duct bank. The work will increase electrical reliability for customers in the surrounding area.

Construction Work Area on 2nd Avenue and Bell Street

Crews will be working at the south corner of 2nd Avenue and Bell Street to excavate for the new service duct bank.

A vactor truck will be used to excavate for concrete and dirt. The vactor soil removal process will result in louder noise levels during construction work hours.

Customers can expect pedestrian and parking restrictions along 2nd Avenue and Bell Street.  Crews will do their best to mitigate the disruption, noise and congestion associated with this work.

This project is anticipated to start in early to mid-March 2017. The work is expected to last approximately one to two weeks. Daily work hours are from Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m, and weekends from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
