A failed switch was the cause of a power outage that affected about 3,600 customers in the Ravenna, Wedgwood, View Ridge and University District neighborhoods, including the University of Washington.
About 3,600 customers in Ravenna, Wedgwood, View Ridge and the University District, including part of the University of Washington campus, lost power about 8:15 p.m. today. Crews isolated the outage to about 200 customers within 30 minutes. Full restoration is estimated for midnight.
